Rescue

(Dogs In Rescue & Success Stories Are At The Bottom Of The Page)

Occasionally, Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers need a helping hand when their
owners can no longer keep them, for many and various reasons.

This precious breed is still rare in the United Kingdom, and as members of this Club, we
will do our utmost to ensure that any Tollers finding themselves in need of a new home
will be helped by us.

Initially, the original breeder, if identifiable, will be contacted to see if they can take the
dog back or assist the Club in the re-homing. If this is not possible, the dog will be placed at
Danehaven Kennels in Norfolk where it will be assessed. Once this has been done, an honest
account of the most suitable type of home required will be generated.

During this time Club funds will be used to cover feed, veterinary & any rehabilitation required.

We will post any information on Tollers in rescue that are available for rehoming on our
website in this section and on the forum along with any other suitable agencies.

As a club have produced an Information Leaflet aimed primarily at rescue centres to inform
them, and anyone else, of the looks and attributes of the Nova Scotia Duck Tolling
Retriever. This is available to download below and in our Documents section, please feel free
to distribute colour copies to any local rescue centres near you.

If you have a Toller (or know of one) in need of help or re-homing, please don’t hesitate to contact
the Club’s rescue coordinators.

Any contact will be dealt with in complete confidentiality.
